The baroque dancing volumes meet the material elegance of the ceramic bisque
In the FUTURA collection, Paola Navone re-invents the shapes of Baroque-inspired ceramics, transforming the objects of the traditional artisan businesses in Bassano del Grappa and Nove in the Vicenza area in northern Italy, from which she drew inspiration, into contemporary decorative elements.
The objects of the collection, now free from their traditional colored glazing and the decorative excess typical of the Baroque style, are now able to let the shapes and volumes prevail, enhanced by the purity of the white material.
The white matter and dreamlike forms place the ceramic pot FUTURA 01 at the centre of the scene, where the glaze meets the porous substance and modifies its essence, the volumes modulate the light and the swirling lines rise to perform the symphonies of the handles.

Die Helligkeit der weißen Emaille hebt den oberen Teil der Keramikvase hervor, auf dem der Deckel ruht. Die Formen von FUTURA 01 tanzen in barocken Virtuositäten von Blättern, Windungen und Drehungen.
the glazing
The glaze, necessary to make the material waterproof, lets the raw material of the ceramic bisque emerge in the casting, lying in the inner part of the bonnet and on the lid, thus accentuating the materiality of this design piece of furniture.
