PALLADIO - Rectangular refectory table
- Design R&D LANDO
- Hand-brushed cherry wood rectangular 'fratino' table
The friar's table, typical of the refectories of medieval monasteries, is characterized by a long, narrow and very thick top. It was a simple table where brothers sit close to each other and, by the logic of its shape, forced them to a courteous "brotherhood". PALLADIO, with a soul that looks to the past, is today redefined in the shape and in the thicknesses highlighting an elegant balance. The essential and minimal shape of the top draws the attention to the edge of the top where it tastes the transverse veins of solid wood, available in durmast and walnut wood. Two ring-shaped legs keep the upper side of the table suspended in mid-air conveying to the element a feeling of lightness.
