The echo of a tale of distant lands, the baroque inspiration in the modern lines.
In the FUTURA collection, Paola Navone re-invents the forms of Baroque-inspired ceramics, transforming the objects of the traditional artisan businesses of the territory of Bassano del Grappa and Nove in the Vicenza area in northern Italy, from which she drew inspiration, into contemporary decorative elements.
The objects of the collection, now free from their traditional colored glazing and the decorative excess typical of the Baroque style, are now able to let the shapes and volumes prevail, enhanced by the purity of the white material.
The bowl FUTURA 18 fascinates and becomes the protagonist of the furniture decor.
Supported by four legs, the vase expands its volume to allow the decorated central edge to dominate. The lid fits into the figure and continues the decorated plot of the central part of the structure. The repeated ribs modulate the volumes and recall the precious baroque porcelain. The timeless elegance of this bowl makes it a perfect piece of furniture for any type of living space.

The shape and decorative elements of the bowl FUTURA 18 place it in an unspecified time and space. The white glaze overflows from the inside and illuminates the edge that moves recalling the curved lines of the front decorative pattern. The lid, continuing the decorative motifs of the structure, closes the bowl with a small dome-shaped knob.
the glazing
The glaze, necessary to make the material waterproof, lets the raw material of the ceramic bisque emerge in the casting, lying in the inner part of the bonnet and on the lid, thus accentuating the materiality of this design piece of furniture.
