The evocative strength of wood is reinterpreted through harmonic and traditional lines.
FRANCIS is inspired by the typical refectory table of refectories in medieval monasteries, which is characterized by a long, narrow but very thick surface axis. A simple table, along which the friars used to sit close to each other and, by the logic of its shape, were forced to a polite "brotherhood". The essential and minimal shape of the top is supported by a mechanism that prevents the oak surface from bending. The two solid wood molded legs can be placed at the edge of the top, offering a different conviviality to the diners, or they can be retracted in order to create the usual place at the head of the table.
